Who are your heroes? What personality types inspire you to believe in your dreams?
The people who motivate me, demonstrate two behaviors:
• BELIEF in their dreams
• ACTIONS towards their goals
Believing in aspirations and goals is the first step towards manifesting big dreams. If results are thought of as unlikely, why would anyone be motivated to move in that direction?
Luckily, thoughts are malleable, meaning they can be changed. The first step towards reaching a goal is the belief that it can be attained.
Whenever I am in doubt of my own capabilities, I practicing saying affirmations until my mind has shifted from “I can’t” to “OMG. Yes, I can!”
For example, this statement below makes me ask the question, “Do I have what it takes?” I may initially answer with doubt and say “No….” Over time, after repeating that I do in fact have what it takes, I begin to see the qualities, talents, and skills that affirm that actually, I do have it takes.
Are you taking the actions necessary to reach your goals?
We know that exercising every day will increase our strength and health. Yet, knowledge is not enough to manifest a tone body. We cannot simply stare at a treadmill and expect grand results. We must get up and do the work. Not just once, but consistently and regularly.
Often times it gets discouraging to look back after dedicating time each day to exercising, only to see minor changes in our bodies. A gratitude journal is a great way to keep track of goal progress. Writing down each step taken gives the opportunity to recognize and celebrate forward motion. The invisible becomes visible once actions are acknowledged.

Here are some tips to help you stay accountable to taking regular actions towards your goals:
- Accountability Partner
Ask a friend, family member, or colleague to support you by reminding you of your goal. Make sure to choose someone who has a cheerleader’s personality, rallying you and encouraging your growth and development.
- Reward System
Finish everything on your goal task list this week? Treat yourself to a day at the spa, a movie night, or other special occasion. Reach your goal easily and completely? Go on vacation or purchase that expensive item you’ve been drooling over for months.
